City of New Britain Honors Vietnam Vets

On the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the end of Vietnam War, April 30, 2025, Mayor Erin E, Stewart, City Of New Britain presented an Official Proclamation all who served their country honorably.
 
This gesture of recognition was initiated by the City of New Britain's official Veteran's Commission.
 
The Proclamation describes the overall mission of our Veterans, the complexity of the war environment, civil unrest back home and the challenges meeting our service members upon returning home.
 
The Mayor was accompanied by the Chairperson of the Veteran's Commission, Commander John R. Buckley, Commissioner David Hernandez, US Army Vet and members of the New Britain Parks and Community Services, Mona Starczewski - Veterans Clerk and Mallory Duprey the Director.
 
A lunch was served following and enjoyed by all in attendance.
